L’informe ‘Innovation and the City’, publicat al novembre per la New York University Wagner, ha inclòs la iniciativa catalana ‘Reempresa’ entre els 15 millors exemples a escala mundial de polítiques de desenvolupament municipal, després que diversos experts hagin analitzat casos dels cinc continents, ha informat Cecot aquest dijous en un comunicat.
‘Reempresa’ és un model d’afany emprenedor i de creixement empresarial en què els nous empresaris prenen el testimoni en la gestió d’una companyia ja existent, comprant-la en la seva totalitat per continuar l’activitat i sense la necessitat d’haver de crear una empresa des de zero.
A través de més de 100 entrevistes amb experts en política urbana dels Estats Units, s’han definit els millors exemples de desenvolupament de política municipal, entre els quals també han destacat l’escola Five Keys Charter School de San Francisco, el YouthSource Centers de Los Angeles (Estats Units) i els Certificates for Adittional Construction Potential de Sao Paulo (Brasil), entre d’altres.
L’informe ha inclòs idees de diverses tipologies, incloent propostes com el projecte de cartografia de la densitat d’habitants en els barris marginals de Nairobi (Kènia) i el nou model d’integració de l’habitatge i el sistema escolar a Tacoma (Estats Units).
Segons la New York University Wagner, les ciutats s’han convertit en “els motors de la innovació pública” a mesura que el creixement urbà s’ha disparat en els darrers 50 anys.
